Graphic Designer, direct hire
You will be responsible for all advertisements and marketing collateral that touch our customers – including any and all emails, banner ads, landing and splash pages. In this position, you will be the “brand voice” that customers see on a day to day basis. You must have a strong point of view and be able to sell new and different creative approaches that allow us to stay current with our customers. Strong graphic design skills are a must. Whatever you design has to sell itself. An eye for detail and organization skills are critical as well as a strong sense of ownership. You will work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, executives and other designers.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • 30% of your time, you will be designing emails that promote the brand and promotions
  • 15% of your time, you will be designing banner ads (both interactive and static) that promote the company; ability to capture the brand experience in a few choice words is a must
  • 20% of your time, you will be developing landing pages that will be used in conjunction with emails and as promotional pages for the website
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Communications, Graphic Design or equivalent is required
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience designing Web sites and creating Web graphics
  • Should have a good understanding of user interface and usability guidelines; involvement in usability studies/testing a plus
  • Image retouching and color correction a plus
  • Strong team player with proven cross-functional collaboration skills
  • High enthusiasm, creativity, initiative and innovation
  • Experience with the following software tools is required: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, HTML and Microsoft Office

Web Designer, 6 month assignment, temp to perm
The Web designer will be responsible for concept, design and production of Web sites and online marketing.

Essential Functions:
  • Design of Web sites, including navigation, process flows and clear communication of intended priorities on a Web page.
  • Production construction of Web designs and implementation of special coding requirements and adherence to coding standards.
  • Work with other designers, the Product Management Team and other internal clients to develop compelling design concepts using branding and style guide standards and direction.
  • Solve design and technical challenges quickly.
  • Estimate work time involved in projects and communicate changes in scope and timelines to stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in Web design.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash) applications, CSS, and HTML.
  • Proficiency with raw HTML and CSS using just a text editor.
  • Proficiency working with and developing basic Javascript and DHTML.
  • Proficiency designing/developing Flash with some action scripting.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design and Web user interactions.
  • Ability to communicate very clearly and easily with clients and with the Product Management team.
  • Experience with successful design of User Interfaces.
  • Experience with usability and the implications for user interaction.
  • Be able to manage time and multiple projects with short turn-around deadlines.
  • Experience with consumer oriented sites.
  • Have a solid design portfolio.
Education and/or Certifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design.

Senior Graphic Designer / UI, Web Design, 2-3 month assignment

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal new venture partners to concept and execute exceptional creative materials that meet our company’s and our new ventures objectives
  • Responsible for all aspects of design and production of company/new ventures materials including: Kiosk UI, Web design, branding, marketing materials – B2C & B2C print, collateral, packaging, promotional/campaign deliverables, trade show/event signage, POS, information graphics, etc.
  • Deliver sophisticated creative via terrific use of typography, photography, and illustration.
  • Participate in all aspects of design and file production
  • Follow team processes and file management procedures
  • Solicit growth and development mentorship from Creative leadership
  • Knowledge of current innovations, trends, and insights to what’s around the corner.
Preferable Qualifications & Experience:
  • High School Degree or GED required
  • BA Graphic Design/Arts desired
  • 5-8 years of UI, Web, graphic design experience
  • Design agency experience preferred
  • Exceptional abilities in all aspects of the creative process from concept to completion
  • Must work effectively in a fast paced and team-oriented environment
  • Work both independently and within a team structure
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Excellent problem solving, project management, multi-tasking, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to discern good writing from bad is helpful.
  • Demonstrate principles of terrific design / as well as typography, photography, and color.
  • Understanding of printing process, paper stocks, proofing methods, and production.
  • Systems: MAC
  • Software: Adobe Creative Suite (CS5), HTML, Java Script, CSS, and other MAC-based design applications. Flash is a plus.

Job description:
  • Create innovative and appealing designs in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, through sketches, storyboards, user task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and the production of final assets for specific features and projects.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and other internal and external clients to define the user experience.
  • Lead usability studies to collect actionable feedback and integrate the appropriate level of changes.
  • Transform business requirements, use cases and user feedback into actionable design specs
  • Delight your users and be a persuasive advocate for good design and usability

Skills needed:
  • Balsamiq, Visio, Flash, Flex, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator or other design/prototyping tool
  • Experience with Desktop, Web & Mobile devices
